Dashlane is one of the world’s leading password managers and digital wallets. The company is based in New York City and Paris.

Requirements

Dashlane wanted to shift their marketing efforts to focus more on brand awareness, while retaining the direct response elements that have traditionally driven new users to their product. This spot would eventually air nationally on television, and included cutdowns for social media.  

Solution

We worked together with the client to flesh out their concept and fuse the need to drive traffic with a compelling story and visuals. We eventually casted, produced, edited, and delivered the “Key To What Matters” spot.

Pre-Production

Our director Kess Broekman-Dattner worked with Dashlane’s creative team to develop the visual style and overall tone of the piece. Following that, Dashlane’s creative team and our Producer Kyle McGuiness synergized on sourcing locations, casting talent (with an assist from Wulf Casting), and identifying areas to bring production design in-line with their branding.

Live Action Shoot

This was a 2 day production shot in 3 locations throughout Brooklyn and Manhattan. Several of the scenes required night shoots.

Timeline

Creative development, bidding, and casting took about 1.5 months. Pre-production and production took two weeks. And editing, voiceover recording, color grading, and finishing took another 4 weeks.
