Fort Nelson DISTILLERY VIDEOS
Michter’s is an American whiskey company based in Louisville, Kentucky. They produce high-end, small batch whiskeys that are sold throughout the world.
Michter’s was opening up their newly constructed Fort Nelson Museum & Distillery, a working distillery that doubles as a tourist attraction, bar, and museum highlighting the history of Michter’s and their production process. The team at Michter’s needed 4 videos to show to visitors of their distillery:
The history of the Fort Nelson Building;
The history of the Michter’s Brand;
Michter’s production processes;
A video highlighting their 103 entry proof standard.
Working with the Michter’s marketing team, Good Brother developed a production and post production strategy to successfully capture, edit and deliver engaging and informative videos that would help make the Fort Nelson distillery a dynamic experience for its visitors.

Michter’s approached Good Brother with the baseline creative concepts already in hand, and then we worked together to identify important and visually intriguing assets to capture. Good Brother also developed ideas for motion graphics techniques to make the videos more engaging, including turning archival photos into 3D assets.
Live Action Shoot
This was a 5 day shoot on location in Louisville, Kentucky. Good Brother flew a core team down from New York, and sourced local crew members to flesh out the team.
The shoot itself consisted of a number of 2 camera interviews, as well as b-roll footage captured with a Movi Pro rig, a slider, and a drone.
The delivery date for this project was tied to the opening the Fort Nelson Distillery in Louisville. Overall, this project took about 11 weeks - 3 weeks to land on a bid and develop a creative strategy, 3 weeks for pre-production, another week for shooting and travel, and over a month to edit and get approvals from the Michter’s team on final cuts.
